Cyprus Facts

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, situated at the eastern end of
the Mediterranean. The island has a population of 793,100 (80.7% Greek-Cypriots,
11.0% Turkish-Cypriots and 8.3% foreign residents). The official spoken
languages in Cyprus are Greek and Turkish. English is widely spoken;
French, German and Russian are also spoken
within the tourist Industry. 

Cyprus has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool winters and an average
of 340 days of sunshine per year. Except from the wonderful weather, the island has
a lot more to offer; golden sandy beaches, crystal clear sea with excellent
water sports facilities and a buzzing nightlife as well as
history,culture, tradition and tranquility.
